I had the pleasure of speaking at Ottawa DemoCamp 12 at the Clock Tower Pub in Ottawa. I had 15 minutes including intro, demo and question period. It was a total blast!

I explained why I had made a new design and talked briefly about the design process that I used. Because I used a software design and problem solving process, I got a different outcome than other model airplane designers.

Everybody loved the talk.

I launched five of them into the audience which went incredibly well given the low ceilings of the Clock Tower Pub basement where DemoCamps are regularly held.

Many people came up to me after and said that they found it inspiring to hear the design process and see it fly. Robert Janelle told me that if they had something like the Squirrel in the classroom he'd have likely taken an interest in science and math.

"Thank you! You do not know how happy I was when I made it fly. All the neighbors out to see the Squirrel." -- Eduardo Bitencort, Brazil

"We got some excellent feedback from our other pack leaders on your Squirrel Air Plane kits. He said you did a fantastic job of helping them build the planes. It looks like an exciting craft and flying experience!" -- Brian Gunther, 1st Stittsville Wolf Cub Pack, Ottawa, ON

"Thank you Darcy for your unbridled, uncomplicated, straightforward, heartfelt enthusiasm! I love your wonderful energy to making this flight for the Leadership Ottawa cohort a unique one... thank you for reminding everyone that powered by imagination the sky is truly the limit...!
